Crossing the Border

Crossing the border between the United States (US) and Mexico can be a very easy process, all depending on where and when you go. Issues that you will have to deal include the legth of the lines entering, what items you can import without paying a duty, items not allowed, border hours and much more.

We have a page that primarily deals with the Arizona & Mexico border crossing serving the Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco) Mexico area. This area has some special advantages that aren't available in other parts of Mexico. The State of Sonora has instituted a "Free Zone". There are multiple border crossing point along the whole U.S. Mexico border where the waiting time (lines) to re-enter the U.S. can be very long & time consuming. Lodging

Rocky Point was once a small fishing village turn tourist destinantion. With this change, there has been development of many different lodging options. There is a section of town called Sandy Beach where a number of condominium developments have been built, providing 1, 2 & 3 bedroom units with kitchen. These devlopments include restaurants, bars, pools, exercise facilities and much more.

In addition, there are many hotels & motels around town providing overnite lodging. Another option includes several American communities providing beachfront homes from 2 - 6 bedrooms for any size parties. If you want to bring your own home (RV), there are several beachfront & in-town RV parks. If roughing it is your game, there is even places where you can beach camp. So what ever your desire is, we can accomadate your lodging needs.

Dining in Mexico
