We offer ultra light flights around the Sandy Beach & Rocky Point area. We can be found on Sandy Beach near the Reef. .
What does it cost to buy & fly an ultralight?
Cost:
There are several ways in which one can obtain ultralights. They are sold in put together kits or you can purchase a new or used model
already assembled. Kits generally start around $6,000 and preassembled new & used models can go for several thousand
on up to $15,000.
Specifications:
In the U.S., there is a very specific definition of an ultralight. These requirement limit the weight, airspeed, fuel tank size, # of riders.
The pioleting requires no licensing nor registration, but the operation of the ultralight is limited. Here are some of the limitations:
Top airspeed: 63 MPH, Stall airspeed: 28 MPH, Total weight: less than 254 lbs (with some additions), Fuel tank capacity: less than 5 gallons.
