What is the Best Way to Maintain Our Locks at the Beach?
Do you have a problem with your locks at the beach? If so there is relief, and it's not with WD-40. Many think that spraying your lock
with this wonder product will help your door locks. Just the opposite, the popular lubricant allows the blow dust to accumalate in the tumble and it will gum things up.
The best product to keep your locks turning smoothly is graphite. This can be purchased in the lock departments in all of your box store hardware stores.

Rocky Point & it's trash situation
One of all of our complaints about Rocky Point is the amount of trash around town. So what are they doing
about it & how can we help?
First off, the quasi-municipal agency responsible for the collection of trash is Oomislim. This agency has been in
existence since 2000, not very long. However, the income for this agency has doubled in the last three years through collections. The city has taken a number of
other steps to "clean up" the town. In 2007, The town had purchased 4 new trash trucks & are looking to add 8 more when funds become available.
Some of these additional steps include the appointment of 20 "Motivators", dividing the city up into sectors.
This Motivators primary job is to determine those properties & areas within their sector that need attention. In addition to "motivating" the landowners
to clean up their properties, assistance is provided to clean up whole neighborhoods.
An example of this occurred in the Nueva Esperanza neighborhood. In
early January, the Mayor, along with Oomislim employees and others collected over 80 tons of trash.
We all need to do our part to help clean up the
city. We wish good luck to these "Motivators" in the continual push to clean up the town. A cleaner town will help bring back tourist, the life line of this
community.
