Mexican War of Independence (1810-1821), was an armed conflict between the people of Mexico and Spanish colonial authorities, which started on
September 16, 1810. The Mexican War of Independence movement was led by Mexican-born Spanish, Afro-mexicans and mestizos who sought independence from Spain. It started
as an idealistic peasants' rebellion against their colonial masters, but finally ended as an unlikely alliance between liberales (liberals) and conservadores
(conservatives).

This is our second race on the year in Sonora. This race will be a loop race starting and finishing in the Rio Asuncion river bed behind the
historical church built by Padre Kino at the town square. This will be a very festive event and we are hoping to draw some of the racers from further in Mexico to
this event to try out their skills. There are several options for course routes but again it will be a total of 200-250 miles.

racing this year. Obviously it won’t include the whoops at the start but we’ll try to find some course to keep it interesting.
